Uncle Kunkel’s One Gram Band is a high-energy alternative rock group based in Baltimore MD. Known for their unpredictable, no-holds-barred performances, the band has one mission: to bring something real to the stage—sonically and personally. Every show is a unique experience, and a chance for the audience to feel like they were a part of something on that particular night, because they are. This band is not afraid to laugh on stage, or to lean into chaos of the unknown and push each other. And they’re definitely not afraid to be unapologetically themselves through their instruments. Whether it’s a blissed-out jam or a full-throttle funk, or dark heavy chugging, the music is always driven by the raw chemistry of the players and a shared love for the unexpected.

The stage is fronted by bassist Wyatt Graham and guitarist Luke Walker, whose history writing songs together has created a chemistry that the crowd can feel is true in their interactions both musically and on the mic. Alongside them, a powerfully free and funky rhythm section consisting of Jake Kunkel (Percussion) and Matthew Grube (Kit) - the flow they create is the foundational sound of the band. On keys is Baltimore favorite Jon Brady, whose careful ear and incredible sonic abilities drive the jams into space and deliver them safely back to the ground - his appreciation for funk, eloquent improv, and creative shredding, create an ice cold and delicious layer in this band’s sound.

In 2024, Uncle Kunkel’s One Gram Band released their live EP titled ‘Punk Jams’ to streaming platforms, capturing a taste of the live chaos they’re known for. In 2026 they recorded their first full length LP titled ‘Hear Say’, consisting of songs from throughout the bands lineage - Particularly songs that deal in themes of interpersonal exchanges, the foolishness of taking things too seriously, the experience of being in the crowd, the trust of one’s own mind, and the letting go of it all. As the good times roll on, their fanbase— dubbed “The Nieces & Nephews”—continues to grow, bringing together a community of like minded individuals who seek good hangs, late nights, and strange music to get down to. Join the family.

“We are most proud of our circle of amazing friends and fans whom we prefer to call The Nieces and Nephews, as they are like family to us. […] Being a team comprised of elder-Gen Z and elder-millennials, we have formed a great network of showgoers who have either been on the scene for a long time or are just discovering it. Watching everyone mingle and connect, forming small-world friendships, and dancing alongside each other is why we do this. Music is a form of unity like none other”
